A farewell to Brian Cookson

Brian first started coming along to assist with our fledgling Singing for Memories group some years ago, but soon found himself taking the lead role, and has continued to come along every month.

Brian is now moving away from the Market Harborough area and today we bade him farewell. Our Chair Peter Hirst thanked Brian (right) for all he has done for our group and presented him with a card signed by the Trustees and members of Dementia Harborough, together with a gift.

Brian treated us to a fine solo rendition of 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.

As we know, music and song has a great role to play for people with dementia, and many times we have heard about the uplifting and stimulating effect that has been had from attendance at one of our sessions.
