It's Christmas Party time!
After the warm-up events earlier this month, namely our Christmassy sing-a-long at our Singing for Memories group, and our Christmas lunch, it was party time yesterday!
We were very pleased to see such a good turnout (nearly 60) for our party, despite fairly dismal weather conditions and the difficulties of finding parking amongst the Christmas rush.
As well as pass-the-parcel and a quiz we were again entertained by Yvette Healey whose singing we enjoyed so much last month, and who led us in a variety of well-known songs. There was plenty of food available together with some tasty mulled wine, and we were lucky enough to have 10 fantastic Christmas hampers to present as prizes in our special Christmas raffle - huge thanks to the lovely people at CDS Global in Market Harborough for donating them.
At this time of year it's customary to reflect on the year gone by, and we think all would agree that we have enjoyed some wonderful entertainment and activities, and outings to places such as Kelmarsh Hall, Sudbury Hall and Curve Theatre. None of these would happen without the commitment of our Trustees and Volunteers for which we are very grateful. Also massive thanks are due to all the individuals, clubs and businesses who have so generously donated to us during the year, without which none of this would be possible. But most of all we thank our members for their company during the year.
